 DJ's Mother’s Day 2009 Gift!
Mother’s Day is a very important day. Mom’s do so very much for their kids, and family, they definitely deserve to be recognized! We are hoping to bring some joy to someone who is going through tough times. DJ’s Jewelry is giving away 50 Sterling Silver Mother and Child Designer necklaces in a heart shape (chain included) to 50 individuals who have either lost their jobs or their homes. There is no purchase necessary to receive this gift, it is not even necessary to have been a customer of ours before this event! The only qualification to receive this special gift is to be able to document your loss caused by the current economic state. Stop by the store with some kind of documentation showing that you have lost your job or your home either this year or last year and we will give you one of these beautiful necklaces to give for Mother’s Day.

A fun Joke, Courtesy of Laura Hester; C/O “Vet Press” April 3, 2009:
A young blonde woman was driving through Southern Louisiana while on vacation. She wanted to take home a pair of genuine alligator shoes in the worst way, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking.
After becoming very frustrated with the attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the young Blonde declared, “Well then, maybe I’ll just go out and catch my own alligator and get a pair of shoes for free!”
The shopkeeper said with a sly smile, “Well little lady, why don’t you go on and give it a try?” The blonde headed off to the swamp, determined to catch an alligator.
Later in the day, as the shopkeeper is driving home, he spots the same young woman standing waist deep in the murky water, shotgun in hand. As he brings his car to a stop, he sees a huge 9-foot gator swimming rapidly toward her. With lightning reflexes, the Blonde takes aim, shoots the creature and hauls it up onto the slippery bank. Nearby were 7 more dead gators, all lying belly up.
The shopkeeper stood on the bank, watching in silent amazement. The blond struggles mightily and manages to flip the gator onto its back.
Rolling her eyes heavenward, she screams in frustration,
“HECK! THIS ONE’S BAREFOOT TOO!”
